IT security audit successfully passed

Recently, SysTec successfully completed an audit in accordance with the IEC 62443-4-1 standard. SysTec was audited by TÜV Nord.

IEC 62443 is an international series of standards that deals with the IT security of industrial automation and control systems. Section 4-1 of the standard focuses on the secure development process of components. This includes all activities relating to the planning, development, testing, release and maintenance of software or embedded systems.

The standard defines eight security practices to establish a secure development process (security development lifecycle) from the manufacturer's perspective. These include:

1. IT security management over the entire product life cycle
2. Consideration of IT security in specification and design
3. Secure-by-design: integration of security concepts into the design
4. Implementation of secure programming
5. Verification and testing of IT security
6. Early detection and systematic handling of security vulnerabilities
7. Secure update mechanisms
8. IT security guidelines

The successful completion of the audit shows that SysTec's development processes meet the highest international safety standards - a strong signal to customers and partners. Thus, SysTec not only creates trust, but also the basis for sustainable, safe products.
